Using ginger for queasy stomachs

Ginger, the rhizome of the plant Zingiber officinale, has been used as a traditional treatment for over 4,000 years.

As a modern day health supplement it is available in many forms including dried or fresh roots, a tea, a powder, a liquid extract, a tincture, tablets and capsules. It can even be given in the form of ginger biscuits or ale (although these are unlikely to deliver a big enough dose). Ginger has been used for centuries to help settle queasy stomachs and many studies have found it to be effective. The key thing is to get the correct dose of ginger.
