CUSTOMER BULLETIN (five) May 2006
From David Coory, author of the
nutrition book "Stay Healthy by Supplying
What's Lacking in Your Diet" and Managing Director of Zealand
Publishing House. Dear Valued Customer We have now issued our Winter catalogue. In case you wondered, you did not miss our Autumn catalogue, this is it, but it was so close to Winter that we decided to rename it. In future our Feb catalogue will be the Autumn one. If you would like a copy posted to you, just call our free number 0800 140-141, or if outside of New Zealand ++64 7 574-4114. ULTIMATE CLEANSE further improved From feedback we receive, it appears that the worse a person’s health, or the more overweight, the greater they benefit from the Ultimate Cleanse. But even if you do not benefit as much as most people, you at least have the peace of mind of knowing that your bowels, liver, and kidneys are clean and healthy. Some customers have in the past complained about the yuk taste and texture of the Psyllium husk powder (I complained too), and also the taste of the Barley Grass powder. Well good news, Brett Elliott the Herbalist has now put both the Psyllium husk powder and the Barley Grass in capsules. He has also greatly improved the instruction book. It is now larger, 45 pages, and in full colour with loads of recipes to use during the cleanse. I encourage you to keep strictly to the recommended low protein (and low phosphorus) diet during the Ultimate Cleanse. It is every bit as important as the cleaning and health-herbs used. I also recommend the 10 day, or longer 25 day option, if time allows, rather than the 5 day option. The health benefits appear to be greater and there are less capsules to take each day. Triple Packs proving very popular Our new, well priced Triple Packs are proving very popular. Many of our customers report new highs in their health. Reports on CoQ10-Omega3 are especially good. I personally find these reports very satisfying. I have long believed that CAA by itself was not the complete answer to optimum nutrition in New Zealand. I am aware that price is still a limiting factor for many, but superior health is well worth making a financial sacrifice for. I am confident that the value-for-money and quality of ingredients in our three Triple Pack products is second to none. I also recommend a little Colloidal Silver a day. This is cheap to make yourself at home and really does work when made properly. CAA just as effective as Prost-Health Reports coming in from CAA and Prost-Health users indicate that CAA is just as effective for prostate disorders as Prost-Health. So we will no longer advertise Prost-Health, but will still stock it and list it on our order forms. I believe that organic Selenium is the critical nutrient lacking when a man has to get up and go to the toilet during the night. CAA contains 150 mcg of organic Selenium. If one CAA a day does not remedy this disorder, try taking two a day. If two CAA will not completely right the problem, then with your doctors approval, try also taking CN5 (page 19 in our Winter catalogue). CN5 contains 150 mcg of quality organic Selenium, plus Vitamin E for maximum absorption of the Selenium. You may be pleasantly surprised. (CN5 also appears to significantly increase male sexuality.) Protect your eyes from Macular Degeneration There appears to be an epidemic of Macular Degeneration among the elderly in NZ at present. It is affecting about a third of our population over 75. This is a distressing disorder, where eyesight is lost or distorted in the centre of your vision, especially in poor light. In the opinion of most ophthalmologists it is untreatable. However, Max Crarer’s Eye book reports success at stabilising or reversing Macular Degeneration with minerals, vitamins and herbs. He reports an even higher success rate at reversing Cataracts. However the cost of the high dose supplements can run a little high. Like most old age disorders, it is naturally better to prevent Macular Degeneration and Cataracts with good nutrition than to heal them. This can be done by a diet high in vegetables, fruit and whole grains, and supplementing with CAA, Coral C, CoQ10-Omega 3, and Colloidal Silver, plus daily walking. Some doctors may claim that supplements are not necessary, but they too suffer from age-related diseases. NZ farmers have proved beyond doubt that, depending on region, our NZ soils cannot maintain optimum stock health without supplementing with Selenium, Iodine, Copper, Boron, Zinc, Calcium (lime) and other minerals. We are all in the same food cycle. Crop growers however, continue to take 20 or so trace minerals from their soil, year after year, and replace only three or four of them. Overseas figures reveal a 70% drop in some minerals in crop foods since the 19th century, Magnesium and Iron in particular. I would welcome a government-controlled testing system to ensure a high standard of mineral content in our crops. Also a financial incentive for growers to produce superior crops. Perhaps it would be cheaper in the long term than funding our ever increasing hospitalisation costs. Credit card security Please be assured that your credit card number is protected. We no longer retain your number in our files, but use NZ’s largest on-line credit card and Eft-Pos processing service, DPS Services. They are highly security conscious and retain your card number for us under the strictest protection. Courier claims Please phone us on 0800 140 141 within five days if your order should not arrive, or arrive damaged. Five days is Courier Post’s time limit for claims. Pricing To keep things consistent, we are now pricing all products in whole dollars. This has been done on our web site for some years now. Some products have been rounded down 95c to the nearest dollar. CAA capsule taste Our last batch of CAA capsules prompted a few queries about the taste of the gelatine. Evidently our manufacturer installed new, higher speed capsulating equipment, but found that it required a slightly stronger grade of capsule to protect against damage. This stronger capsule had a slight but harmless taste to the surface. Our manufacturer informs us that he has now installed a capsule polishing system that should eliminate any taste. The best time to take CAA Some customers tell us that it works better for them to take CAA earlier in the day, rather than the recommended evening meal time which works best for most people. That’s fine. We are all different. Whatever works best for you. Experiment. You may have noticed slightly more yellow in the colour of CAA recently. This is due to variations in the colour of the Vitamin B2 Riboflavin supplied from overseas. Riboflavin is an intense yellow colour and varies in colour strength from batch to batch. Our NZ CAA manufacturer is trying to obtain more consistent colour from our overseas supplier. Riboflavin is sometimes used as a yellow food colouring, food code number 101. Just a reminder also, to avoid a brown mottled appearance in your CAA, keep the lid screwed on firmly and the moisture-absorbing pack inside. Mottling is due to moisture absorption from damp air. Keeping CAA in the fridge seems to work best. CAA minerals are highly absorbable and attract moisture strongly. Even if CAA does become mottled, it is harmless and does not reduce its effectiveness. Probitas fertiliser for your garden For home gardeners, we are working with Ewen Campbell of Probitas to bring you 2.5 kg bags of his highly effective soil treatment and fertiliser, enough to treat 25 square meters. Ewen has built on Percy Weston’s findings and refined this unique product over many years. It includes, among other minerals Serpentine (Magnesium Iron Silicate Hydroxide) and unrefined sea salt (70 plus colloidal minerals) and is reported to give excellent results. Hopefully should be available before Spring of this year. Kindest regards, David Coory.
