Dear Valued Customer

Welcome to our first catalogue for the year. Interestingly, most of our customers call our catalogue a ‘magazine’. And that’s just how we would like you to view it. We want to inform you, as well as market our products.

We have a passion for good health here at Health House and are continually looking for ways to make our products better.

Our new Aloe Vera Gel with Colloidal Silver is proving very popular. Karen our Herbalist can barely keep up with orders as I write.

DHEA

I’ve at last found a DHEA that I can offer you and keep within the law. DHEA (7-Keto) has all the qualities of regular DHEA, but does not raise sex hormone levels. This has been considered a potential problem with some medical treatments with regular DHEA and the reason it is now prescription only.

DHEA is a natural hormone, made by glands in our body. It’s powerful and responsible for the energy, enthusiasm, clarity of mind and memory we enjoy in youth. DHEA peaks around age 25 and then steadily declines. It is similar to CoQ10 in some ways. It’s truly amazing stuff. When we tested DHEA on people locally, we got excellent results, especially emotionally. Childhood cheerfulness and optimism seemed to return, along with an energetic desire to exercise.

Nice tasting Colostrum tablets

We now have Colostrum Tablets as well as the concentrated powder. They are so nice tasting we cannot leave samples lying around. They keep disappearing. “Addictive” is the word Chris Wilton-Jones our Marketing Manager uses. (He’s the worst culprit of all. We have to hide them from him.)

These tablets do not contain the high concentration of Colostrum as does our American Colostrum powder, but they are top quality and useful as a daily maintenance dose for healthy people and for children.

Eight strain Probiotic planned for 2009

 In our next catalogue (March-April 2009) we hope to have a new multi-strain Probiotic, containing eight different types of living bacteria. Probiotics is a name for the friendly bacteria found in our intestines.

Health researchers have proven over and over again that balanced healthy bowel bacteria is essential for good health.

You are probably familiar with acidophilus found in yoghurt. This is just one probiotic, and the one most able to survive stomach acid.

But there are other important bacteria that cannot survive stomach acid at all. Our new Probiotic contains all eight important strains of living intestinal bacteria, and will have a special coating on the outside of the capsule to protect the contents from stomach acid.

This acid-resisting, safe, cellulose material is called ‘enteric coating’. It prevents the capsule from opening until it reaches the non-acid environment of the small intestine.

The small intestine is where Probiotics colonise and do their healthy work. Probiotics can bring dramatic improvements in health.

Stevia sprinkle

We are sourcing small glass jars and sprinkle tops to offer you Stevia (the natural plant sweetener) as a product you can sprinkle over your breakfast cereal, or into a drink.

Just like our Vitamin C Sprinkle, only you will be able to unscrew the top of the jar and spoon out Stevia to use in your baking, etc.

We have also located a very nice tasting Stevia, with no after taste.

Healthy Joints advert

Our high quality Glucosamine and Chondroitin Healthy Joints product with Boron and Silica and Vitamin D is selling well.

However several customers have pointed out to us that it is not clear in the advertisement, that it requires 3 capsules to give the claimed amount of 1300 mg of Glucosamine and Chondroitin a day.

On reading the advert I have to admit that it is not 100% clear that 3 capsules are required to achieve the 1300 mg dosage, (however it is clear on the label). This was not intentional. In fact I believe it is highly counter productive in advertising to deceive, and we try and avoid this at all costs. So I apologise for this lack of clarity.

There was also some confusion in the amounts of Glucosamine and Chondroitin mentioned in different places. This was due to the fact that we planned on 1400 mg total, but only achieved 1350mg in actual production. So we decided to be cautious by labeling Healthy Joints 1300 mg.

 These are the sort of embarrassing mistakes that can easily occur during the pressure to meet printing deadlines and get new products into production. A lot of it is due to my personal workload, and I look forward to my eldest son Mike joining us next year.

Mike Coory to take over day to day management of Health House

My eldest son Mike, age 40 who has for over 10 years, been a Senior Manager in the Tax Division of KPMG, one of the world’s top accounting firms, will be joining us at Zealand Publishing House/Health House in January 2009.

He will take over my role as Managing Director to hopefully free my time to allow me to catch up on my three year backlog of book writing and health research. Mike has a first class mind, and a no nonsense approach to getting things done. I am confident he will be an asset to us all.

I will still be actively involved

As Executive Director of Zealand Publishing House and Health House, I will still be actively involved in both businesses. Especially in research and improving products to increase their effectiveness.

I also plan to update my ‘Stay Healthy ...’ book (a new 9th edition). And complete a new book ‘The Brain Diet’ that looks at how we can protect our brain against the hidden effects of glutamic acid excitotoxins such as MSG and Aspartame, which are increasingly linked to common brain disorders such as short term memory loss, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

I also want to publish the final version of my ‘The Condensed Bible’ which has been a daily ongoing project for 15 years now.

Doctor Tullio Simoncini, an Italian oncologist (cancer specialist) has recently made an amazing discovery – that 99 percent of internal organ cancers that have not mestasised (spread throughout the body) can heal in just six days, entirely without the use of surgery, chemotherapy or radiation.

All that is required is to deliver sodium bicarbonate (ordinary baking soda) directly to the cancer site. He does this by using a flexible tube such as a catheter.

The science behind this is sound. It has long been known that cancer thrives in acidic, low oxygen environments. But when the pH of the inner part of a cancer cell is raised, it allows much more oxygen into the cell and the cancer cell begins to die.

Dr Simoncini says that cancer cells are actually a form of fungi, and cannot survive an alkaline environment.
